On May 21st the Rutland County Women’s Network and Shelter hosted an Open House to thank to the team at Lang McLaughry Real estate for spearheading the renovation of the “Safe Harbor Suite”. Thanks to their efforts, and to the support they recruited from the local business community, the Rutland County Women’s Network and Shelter (RCWNS) is able to offer women and children fleeing domestic violence a newly renovated transitional apartment that is safe, welcoming, and cheery.
We are truly grateful for the investment of time, goods, and sweat equity that LMRE agents and staff Laurie Mecier, Karen Heath, Sue Bishop, Sandi Reiber, Leona Minard, Pam Stanley, Hank Fish, Bobbi Gudelis, Lisa Bora Hughes and Christina Gilman brought to this project.
Additional friends from Rutland’s business community who participated were the Rent A Center, Andrew Shaw of Home Depot, Chip Gottlieb from Carpet King of Vermont; Disaster Recovery; Ellie Chiccarelli of Memories Forever; Godnick’s Grand Furniture; Jesse Martin of Birch Hill; John Ruggiero; Jon Gallipo of Kitchen Encounters; Lake Sunapee Bank; Mark Gilman of Rezolute Construction Services; Vermont Federal Credit Union; and Initial Ideas. Their support is an additional testament to the warmth of the Rutland business community.
